My dad has gingivitis, and he’s told me a couple times that his dentist has recommended a specific electric toothbrush for him to buy. I keep thinking that it is the Sonic Complete, but I specifically remember him telling me that the toothbrush costs $100, and the Sonic Complete is only $30. Does anyone know which electric toothbrush is best for individuals with gingivitis?

If you’ll ask each company they’ll say theirs is the best. But basically, any good electric toothbrush will do, as long as you use it everyday and for at least 2 minuted each time. If that’s not enough, check: http://the-dental-makeover.com/dental-cleaning-using-an-electric-toothbrush/
An electric brush is no better than a hand held brush. It is how you use the brush is what matters most. There are different brushing techniques. The best is the Bass tech. You brush gently at the gum line. It removes the plaque from the sulcus. You also need to floss to achieve optimal gingival health.
Try Sonicare. In my opinion as a dentist of 16 years, and as a user of it, I highly recommend them.
KAYLA,
Both Oral-B and Sonicare both make fine products. Each manufacturer has models which are comparable.
I own brushes by both. My favorite is the Sonicare Elite.
