I hope you can help me with this, because the manufacturer Philips (Sonicare) could not even answer this question correctly. Almost every week, bad dark green film accumulates inside the head of the electric toothbrush. First, this is normal? Does anyone else have this problem? Should I get a manual toothbrush to scrub the movie. Is this a common occurrence with electric toothbrushes, I had to ignore this movie gross and just change the head every 3-4 months and should they get to be a nuisance to have to clean this movie every week!

I would like to clean both the body of the toothbrush and the brush itself. I just dropped it on the floor and would like to find a way to sanitize it and clean the whole tooth brush and cradle it comes with. The brushes are fairly expensive at $20 a piece, and it’s new, so I’d like to clean it rather than replace it.
